Goldfish

On my ride home last night after a long day of drinking , eating and carousing at the Shortus residence, I had an awesome idea for two separate posts. Two lots of subject matter that would amuse, fascinate and tittilate you my fair readers.
Upon arrival at home, being too drunk and tired to action these fab ideas I said to myself " perhaps I should make a note of this so that I don't forget tomorrow" promptly followed by the thought " No need! No need! These are such insightful and interesting ideas there is no way I will forget them. I'll be straight onto it tomorrow morning"

Well , the fact that you are reading this ordinary post about nothing in particular should indicate the way the ball rolled on that one....

The Return of the Prodigal Landlord and Friend

Anne , my best mate and owner of our current residence has returned from an eight month sojourn through the lands of our South East Asian neighbours.

She has been back for just over 24 hours and is now cleaning the fridge. Those of you that know Anne will realise how odd that last sentence looks. It is however, true.

Unfortunately the cleaning of the fridge has brought to light the fact that Paul and I haven't so much as run a chux over it for the last 12 months we have been living here.

And that , my friends , is one of many many reasons that I am glad our Annie is back.

Leon and Ash vs The World

The gorgeous young things to the left here are Paul and Myself with our mates from Brisvegas Leon and Ashley.
Currently they are tripping through the Middle East having amazing adventures.

Here is their blog documenting said adventures - check it out!

It's the day before I return to work after my ACE holiday.

I am a bit pissy pants.

Paul and I have just returned from a somewhat strenous yet delightful afternoon at our Mate Matt's place. His Beautiful Beau (I'm loving lame alliteration in my state) Tracey is away with the oldest kidikin , so we spent the afternoon offering much needed adult conversation and occasional gammon kid help with the younger two.

Despite the best intentions as described above - it was more a case of Paul and I getting sloshed on wine and needlessly firing up the kids with cheeky one liners and leaving the hard work to Daddyo.

Nonetheless, it seems that a good time was had by all and we have returned with that warm fuzzy feeling of a few afternoon bevvies combined with the love of good people.

I have a pretty ordinary Thai Green Curry simmering on the stove, am listening to Interpol on the stereo and finishing off the last bits of a nice bottle of semillion sauvignon blanc.
Life doesn't get much better eh?!

Wish me luck going back the the old grind tomorrow.
...but let's not think about that.
Cheers!!

Hello again....

I know it's been a while.. and I realise I will be lucky if any of you mob are still even checking this good 'ol blog. However I am back - and one of my dubious new years resolutions was to post more regularly. For my own therapy if not for anything else.

We have returned from not only the insanity of the Christmas period , but from 2 glorious weeks in the Jewel of Oz - Sydney. Hence the above pic.
Paul and myself, Corrine and Aaron were the grateful guests of Juz, Andy, Peg and Joyce (the Gleeson pack) in their fine Leichardt abode. A restful yet dynamic and fabulous time was enjoyed by all - and dribs and drabs will come through in various pictures and anectdotes on this humble page.

So basically - Happy New Year!! We rock and so do you.
