Birthday Shenanigans

Sunday was Pauls birthday. So as you could imagine it has been quite a mental weekend.
We had a Sunday afternoon bbq in our ridiculously small back garden (made even smaller by the presence of a rather large inflatable pool, with luke warm water due to the soaring temperature and humidity level- making for a heating rather than a cooling experience when submerged)
Nonetheless it was buckets of fun - the champagne and mexican beer flowed. Much hullaballoo was made over the excellent bbq'ing skills of the beautiful Paul and salad concoctions of mine (much to our pleasure it was in fact Christo that did most of the work , however was happy to receive no acclaim as it was not up to his perfectionist public standards)We cracked the first bottle of bubbles at about 12.00pm and the last guest was turfed out about 12 hours later.
Hopefully Paul had half as much fun as everyone else did - I have been receiving emails all day (now that all are sufficiently recovered) full of praise and grateful sentiments for an ace afternoon.

I love you Paul and Happy Birthday!

us and neighbour Rob - unfortunately all photos were taken at the end of the day and these are the only ones fit for public consumption.

Hullo LM ;-)
Just letting you know we had an absolutely wizzard time on Sunday. Only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
Now draw closer Lisa-Marie and listen carefully, for I have a matter of no small importance that begs the attention of your fearsome intellect and unparalleled experience of nefarious plots and schemes. As you already know, I recently became the proud owner of a shiny new skating board. You may not, however, have had drawn to your attention my intentions of very soon using said board to make my debut at the Skate Boarding Park in Lower Jingili.
As a society figure of some note yourself, doubtless you are acquainted with the frankly terrifying extent to which such occasions are fraught with potential for social gaffes and blunders with potentially resounding consequences.

Ah bugger it, I'm too tired to keep this up ;-)
Basically what I want you to do is persuade Paul that it would be more fun than he has ever dreamt of (are you listening Paul? Fun, fun, fun!) to come and play at the skate park with me.
After all, if the little rubber kiddies are laughing at two sad old codgers in their thirties trying to skate, then the laughter is that much more diluted for both of us, ne c'est pas? ;-)
